Keep Rolling Rolling Rolling....

12/1/18
Another frenetic day of exciting racing was held last Friday at the Forest Youth Centre - it could only be the indoor roller racing round of this years YHPSCL. With five schools showing up in the morning and another four in the afternoon it was a full day of high intensity efforts and extremely loud cheering.

The morning session went very well with a lot of fast times but the results were not finalised until the afternoon riders had their go too. The year 4 girls competition was won for Jubilee by Poppy in great time of 36.8 seconds for the 500m distance, with only 2 tenths of a second separating 2nd place Sarah from Southwold from May of Parkwood.

The year 5 girls times were as expected even quicker with Sophie and Lolo from Kingsmead only a second apart for 2nd and 3rd but once again a Jubilee rider - Ishanna took the honours with a 31.8 second win.

The year 4 boys also went the way of Millfields with Harris's 30.5 seconds faster than the year 5s. Albert from Gayhurst was second followed by Elliot from Millfields.

All this means it is hotting up nicely on the league standings with Jubilee winning this round to close in on leaders Millfields. Kingsmead closed the gap to Gayhurst and Mandeville leapt up the table to close in on Southwold and Parkwood.
